MTVs new Video Archive Site

Back in the 80s I loved MTV. I mean who didn’t love watching countless hours of music videos? Really who? Somewhere along the line though MTV became a reality TV show network. I’m not even sure they play any music videos anymore (not like I have the cable package to know, but when I’ve been on vacation or at my parents MTV seems to be “Road Rules” and “Real World” all the time). Today though I stumbled upon mtvmusic.com. It seems MTV is back in the music video business. I would guess that youtube’s been the largest depository of online music videos (crappy quality and all), but this new MTV site looks to change that (it’s about time). I can’t believe it’s taken them or any of those music channels this long. So if you have some time go look up your favorite music video from the 80s. I’ll honestly have to show a little self control, because I could spend hours watching old 80s, Madonna, and James Taylor music videos.

New Coat and Gem’s Stick

From all the pictures I post you can probably guess we spend a lot of time out on our deck, and it’s looking like it needs a new coat of stain. We bought Gem a new coat the other day and after the UPS guy brought it Gem had to try it on. You’ll also notice that it’s actually a boys coat (why are so many girls things so “gurly”); we’re thinking Tuan will be able to wear it next year. I know it’s not cool to wear your sisters coat, but that was another reason we bought a boys. At least he won’t have to wear a pink hand-me-down.
